New Stand Up

Published on June 4, 2012 by in Stand Up Comedy

I have been on stage lately, but I have been woefully negligent in keeping up this blog.  It seems like every few years I make a post just like this while resolving to post more frequently.  Well… I don’t resolve anything this time!  I shall neglect my site like I always do.  This is my weak attempt at reverse psychology.  I do plan to post some of my work-related writings, as I have published a number of articles recently.  In the meantime, you get another recent set!

Show at Laugh Lounge

Published on May 5, 2010 by in Stand Up Comedy

This is a show I did on April 24th.  Aside from the still-persistent pacing, I think it was a good show.  I hit the jokes, the timing was good, and I got laughs.

More Stand Up by Ammon Brown

This show was OK. Better stage presence but I missed a lot of new jokes because I choked a bit. Regardless, I hope you enjoy it.

New Stand Up

There are a few new jokes in here. They do need to mic the audience and I do need to stop pacing the stage. Other than that, I kind of like this set.

Yet Another Comedy Clip

A lot of the same jokes, but I think I missed a few. I still don’t have a video where I feel like I 100% nailed it. Regardless, enjoy the show, give feedback, and remember: I am much better live!

The Latest Ditty

Published on July 15, 2008 by in Stand Up Comedy

Who doesn’t like a good arson joke?? Although the current economy is a mixed blessing for an arsonist… Lots of foreclosed houses sitting empty and waiting but the price of gas is way up. Argh! Enjoy.

On The Same Stage as Emo

Published on July 6, 2008 by in Stand Up Comedy

I saw Emo Philips perform at Comix a few months ago. He is one of my favorite comedians, so I was excited to play the same club. Only problem was that they told me I was doing 7 minutes instead of 5 and then they left me up on stage for more than 9 minutes. I filled the time but had to shuffle a lot of material around at the last second. Not the greatest show ever, but a very good experience.

This one includes some new material, but is mostly the same as the other show at Caroline’s.

I don’t consider this my best show, but it is all new jokes. Enjoy.

Another Show, Another Chuckle

Published on June 17, 2008 by in Stand Up Comedy

I just did another show at Caroline’s, and I think it went really well. I focused on maintaining eye contact, having more energy, pausing for the inevitable laughs, and staying in one place. I should have the video shortly, so I will get it posted as soon as I can. Few other updates, as I don’t want to bump the last video off the front page!
